Recent developments in the company, however, have caused us to revisit the companies performance expectations. Here are the details:

Quarterly Insights

  • Revenue doubled to $15.1M which was 35% higher than our estimate of $11.2M which illustrates the adoption of Peak’s solutions in the marketplace.
  • 94% of revenue ($14.2M) million was generated by Peak’s Fintech Platform compared with $0.9 million from Financial Services.
  • Outsourcing Service expenses currently represent almost 89% of sales – up from 75% in Q2 and this expense has hampered positive EBITDA. This expense should be reduced to 40-50% of the sales by the end of 2021 when some of those services are brought in-house.

Financial Projection Revisions

As identified below, eResearch Corp. – the new owner of – projects the following growth on revenue and EBITDA:

  • Peak’s revenue from the six operating subsidiaries for 2020-2021 is estimated to be as follows going forward:
    • 2020: Revenue $42.8 million; EBITDA $0.9 million;
    • 2021: Revenue $86.1 million; EBITDA $21.2 million

In addition, eResearch:

  • forecasts a revised equal-weighted price per share target of C$2.40 from C$1.80 based on a DCF valuation of 10%, a revenue multiple of 4x revenue and an EBITDA multiple of 10x EBITDA (go here to convert the above Canadian dollar figures into other currencies).
  • and has increased its one-year target price to $2.40 from $1.80 and changing the rating to Speculative Buy from Buy.
