This ten minute interview with Eric Sprott is excellent and worth your time. He makes the best case I have heard or read recently about why the financial fundamentals are so good for precious metals...both physical gold and silver and the good mining stocks. It is really worth listening to.

A more aggressive devaluation of paper currencies is on the horizon thus the whole PM Complex is completely underpriced. Averaging in from this point on seems warranted. Below is a full explanation as to why that is the case.

Precious metals - Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium and there respective mining shares - have failed to sustain any rebound despite tremendously supportive sentiment amid an extreme oversold condition. Nevertheless, we believe that the bottom is in and a rebound should begin very soon. The question though is, "What will the driving force be for a sustainable rebound which will evolve into a new cyclical bull market?" Below are several options to be considered and my assessment as to which it will be - and why.

The prospects look great for Gold and Silver to move sharply higher into 2013 to mimic the moves made in the 2005/ 2006 period and especially in 1979. In both cases back then the PM Stock Indices made big runs along with Gold and Silver. As such, the current HUI looks good for a major bottom to now be in place and to mimic the PM Stock Surrogate chart from the late 70’s. This would see the HUI go as high as the 1000 area in 2013. The Gold (and Silver) bull continues to closely follow the giant wave formation of a tsunami. The recent more parabolic rise in Gold up to above $1,900 is analogous to the little ridge of water we first saw way out in the distance, and now, much like when the waters recede from the shore early in the tsunami wave formation, Gold is undergoing a correction.
